We Support You

Our founder has been there. She gets it.

It's Not Your Fault.

Systemic negligence where vulvar anatomy and female sexual function are concerned is systemic. Though standards of care are getting better, many surgeons still misinform about risks and operate blind. Misinformed consent is not consent.

You Are Not Alone

This isn't bad luck. Most likely this isn't because you chose "the wrong doctor." Harm to female sexual function happens because of widespread medical disregard caused by taboo and lack of perceived medical importance of female sexual pleasure.

Togetherness

You Are Worth the Fight

We are stronger together, and standing up to this is affirmation of our dignity. The truth will always win, and there will be justice for women in the end. The more women try to seek justice, even if it doesn't work, the closer we get to a better world.

Testimonials

We plan to scale the support that Jessica has given to survivors.

Gillain

"After my clitoris was damaged in a biopsy, I was so scared and gaslighted by every doctor I went to that I was suicidal. Connecting with Jessica saved my life. There was no one talking about clitoral mutilation except her."

Tasha

"After suffering damage to my clitoris in childbirth, Jessica's posts were a beacon of hope for me. They showed me that I was not alone in my struggles and that change had to be made to help women."

Sophie

"Losing sexual sensation in an unnecessary labiaplasty done when I was 15 nearly destroyed me. If I hadn't found Jess's story online, I wouldn't be here today. Jess provides hope and strength for all of us."

There Is Hope

SHE Project hopes to one day fund research on treatment for women with vulvar and clitoral dysfunction, to help survivors access treatment, and to help advocate for insurance coverage.

Empowering Women

Damage to sexual function, especially at the hands of a trusted medical provider, is extremely traumatic. We aim to provide a safe space for survivors of female genital mutilation and other injuries to sexual function. FGM is FGM, whether performed with a razorblades or a scalpel.

Rebuilding Lives

At She Project, we understand the importance of rebuilding lives after trauma. We hope to provide access to experts who can help. We believe in empowering women to reclaim their identities, dignity, and womanhood.

Creating Change

Too often, victims of medical damage are silenced by taboo, shame, and medical gaslighting. We aim to give all survivors a voice. By raising awareness about medical female genital mutilation and advocating for policy reform, we strive to establish national standards that protect the rights and well-being of women.

Support Group Coming Soon

SHE Project plans to provide a support group for survivors of female genital mutilation. This group will provide a safe and supportive environment for women to share their experiences, find solace, and build a strong network of support. Stay tuned for more details!

Thank you for considering SHE Project. We are here to support you on your journey towards healing and resilience. Get in touch with us today.
